While he paced, Ava watched him silently then listened as he talked. She did at least promise that much. To listen and that's what she would do. Then she could kick his ass.

Her eyebrows rose a little when he admitted to being a mutant then stayed as he explained what happened in Africa. It was -- well, it wasn't pretty but things like that aren't normally pretty.

Ava blinked and sat down her glass. "Wow -- and you didn't have a burn on your body?" She figured not but still, it was hard to imagine and yet the man was standing before her.
