It didn't escape Clarkie's notice that Arthur hadn't looked away and that little piece of knowledge made Clarkie inwardly smile. Though Arthur's expression hadn't really changed, he felt confident in the fact that Arthur hadn't been completely disappointed. Over the years, Clarkie had acquired a few tattoos that were kept safely hidden underneath his shirts.

He nodded and looked at him with a little curl of his mouth. "Wouldn't have it any other way, Arthur," he said and pulled out of the parking spot then heading in the direction they had been going in. While in the bar, he had asked the bartender which way to the nearest freeway and proceeded in that direction. Thankfully, they hadn't been too far off.
