He knows he's being wicked and a tease. Not that it isn't in Kol's very nature, but he likes the idea of drawing her in, of toying with her. He likes witches, and he likes witches that can nearly stand up to him. Not that he thinks that any of them truly and wholly can, but he likes the stronger ones, the ones with bite to them.

Sure there were towns in Europe and Russia and parts of Asia where you might find more of them compared to humans, but New Orleans was a place unto itself with the magic it held.

He leans in to her, intimately close. "Because neither of us is a dime a dozen. I'm a priceless masterpiece that can never be recreated," he points out. "And you're an unearthed Van Gogh. Until now."
