Les frowned at his description of his family. "I'm so sorry to hear that," she said. "I know how flat that sounds but if there's anything all of us can relate to, it's shit childhoods on some end of the spectrum. Did you have a pack before you became a hybrid?" She paused then winced. "I'm sorry, that's probably... no, definitely none of my business." She was really trying hard not to be nosey with those that came into their lives. And truthfully, Les could only imagine how much harder it was now to find a pack as a werewolf-vampire hybrid.

And well our family... we collect strays, I guess you could say. So, careful, you may be part of that sooner or later," she couldn't help but tease him with a smile.
