It had been a long time since she'd gotten dressed up. In the before times, she'd wear dresses for work or to go out with David, or to dance with Jordan. In the last decade, she'd never found a reason to. But life was different now, right? She was different.

Much like Kol, after finding out who and what she was, there was never a reason to hide. It was interesting still that she didn't feel the need to run and in fact, instead of running, she wanted to stay. She wanted to know New Orleans and its families. And she wanted to stay with Kol. Which was... perhaps the first time she was finally acknowledging it to herself.
She glances down at where he's touching her arm then looks at him with a smile. "Good because you'll be stuck with me for a while longer," she says, leaning in and brushing a kiss over his cheek.
