Putting an awning over the outside part would create other problems, but the part of the ledge that extends inside my room would stay dry if I shut the window. I opened it to air out the space. Though if you’ll be using it to climb back inside, I’ll leave it open.
I would say given how you two already go on in public, the seduction part of the ritual seems an unnecessary waste of time.

I love making them, actually. They’re pretty simple to do and there’s a lot of personality you can infuse in them. I’m very fond of doing ones that are fruit-forward, or sometimes ones that have fermented elements for some funk. I’ll send you a few bottles of ones that I’ve done, I’d like to see if I can make a vampire’s earwax melt.
Tea doesn’t numb the mind like whiskey does, not without medicinal elements added that aren’t particularly healthy to use for prolonged periods of time, either. It’s not wrong to say that tea is healthier than whiskey, but usually the people who want to calm down by drinking whiskey aren’t looking for the same sort of solace. I'm more of a kvas drinker when I want to get buzzed. It's like vodka.
Though, tea won’t compromise your abilities like whiskey and kvas does, so it’s a trade off in that aspect, too.

More or less, yeah. All the chemicals and equipment are secure. There’s a nasty smell so I opened a window, and I still need to finish sweeping and wiping down everything else. Kaz is helping.
The way he moves through the streets of the Barrel is with the same stilted gait that is well known by any in the darkness and shadows of the streets they call home. Most cleared from his path, never once slowing with the knowledge that no one would likely take the chance of incurring the boy's wraith. Only strangers took the chance, those visiting for the thrills that the Barrel had to offer, and they paid the price for that insolence more often than not.
Today he has a destination in mind, a darkened shop with windows blocked by heavy curtains and no sign of life through any cracks in such coverings. In his dark suit and kidskin gloves, he blends into the shadows but for the gilded edges of his cane head showing around his gloved fingers and the paleness of his face.
Though he may blend in but he's not one of the shadows. Sharp eyes never stop moving, taking in those that pass before him, but his attention is on a singular person that no one can see. Not even himself. That doesn't stop him from greeting her.
"Good evening, Wraith."
