There are a few old kind like her running around, but the problem for Thessaly is that eventually, most of those individuals become people you no longer want to know. Either other immortals start to remind her of parts of the past she'd rather forget, or there's a falling out along the way as fights for resources happen, or they simply grow apart and become indifferent as the world turns around them. It's very rare for her these days to both find someone new and also find someone who knows a part of her past.

Not that Thessaly is actually immortal. She's spent millennia finagling for magic to keep her alive. What's truly innate to Thessaly is a thirst for knowledge and a ruthless ability to put herself first, and magic ended up being her means by which to do it. On rare occasion, she finds someone else worth protecting, too.

At his smile she offers one back of her own. "You don't look half-bad in green," she comments at her scarf around him. She turns her back then, feeling secure enough to wander around instead looking at the items on his shelves. Books, knickknacks, pictures. Her green gaze takes it all in as she replies back to him. "Wine sounds heavenly. Or is hellish the appropriate term?"

Her eyes fall then on an image of Piper. Thessaly's gaze widens, then narrows in curious thought. This has to be Sin's descendent. She hums a little as she studies the image, noting that Adonis seems quite comfortable with her. "Well, well, well. I had wondered how canny the likeness would be."
