Autumn Open Post
As we know, I love my AUs and PSLs! I love exploring worlds and discovering how little changes can tumble and create big changes. My characters are top-leveled but feel free to add your own and let me know if there's someone you'd like! ♥

I don't know. If you kept the company of Sionnach, the 'delightfulness' of your company is up for debate...
[ He may just be giving her shit but he sends her an address regardless. ]
Come by around 9. Apparently demons don't keep "normal" hours.

[Honestly, she's not affronted. She bores easily with people who can't banter and back it.] Tis a poor ruler who doesn't revel in honest debate, surely?
Normal is what makes you predictable. Not the sort of danger worth entertaining.
[She does show up, perfectly promptly, in a tank top and jeans. She's got a very nice wine that should be illegal with her. Instead of knocking, she trails a fingernail along his door in an ancient sign. It sears and alerts him, if he has magical mechanisms protecting his door. If not, he'll just hear a faint 'knock knock'.
If there are any witch locks though, she won't try to break them, but perhaps could sense them and be curious by it.]

Surely but too many people who rule kingdoms and lands are a complete bore and lack debate skills.
There are the rare occasions when I would like to have an evening that isn't spent in some meeting or doing something for someone.
Later that night, when Thess arrives, Adonis does in fact have magical and witch locks protecting his door. He'd learned well over the years that he needed both. Just in case.
He's amused by her way of announcing herself and yet, if it was any other way, he's sure he'd be a little disappointed. As it happens, he disarms the wards, unlocks the door and opens it. He's wearing slacks and a button down shirt, with the cuffs rolled up to his forearms.
"Come on in," he says and steps away to allow her entrance. He'd always been a bit sensitive to magic, and he's always figured that was due to how he'd received a number of his non-vampiric abilities. She was a league onto herself.

Thessaly isn't physically that strong, so she survives with magic. Deceptions and illusions are her favorite sorts, perhaps no surprise then why she's been drawn to Morpheus and his realm of Dreaming.
It's why she doesn't mind smiling at a man who houses a monster inside of him - or rather, who has become one with the blood beast.
"Don't mind if I do." Playfully she takes off her scarf and drapes it around his neck, it remaining harmless like a normal scarf, and she shrugs out of her coat to lay on the back of a nearby chair. Her green eyes scan the space with open curiosity, though she keeps her fingers to herself. "This building has a lot of stories in its walls, doesn't it? Don't worry. I won't read yours, at least not before dinner." Can she actually pick up stories from walls? No. She'd need to find a spell for that. She's just messing with him.
"How are you? I hope better than you would be if you needed my help in the kitchen. If you're King of Hell, I'm Queen of Takeout."

He recalled seeing her at the party and it amused him that after all these years after Sionnach's death (and David's) that there was someone around from those days who had known both of them. It was kind of nice.
Adonis smirks as he shuts the door behind her and raises the wards again. "I can't think of a place in this city that doesn't have a ton of stories to tell," he says before setting her scarf on top of her coat. He'd be cooking soon and he didn't want anything to wind up on it somehow. "If you do find something interesting out, please share with the class."
Could she do it? He's seen and experienced a lot through the years by witches, at this point, hardly anything surprised him.
"I'm good," he says with a grin. "Nothing wrong with takeout. I do it often enough myself when I don't want to cook for just myself. What can I get you to drink? I have wine and any kind of liquor you may desire."

Not that Thessaly is actually immortal. She's spent millennia finagling for magic to keep her alive. What's truly innate to Thessaly is a thirst for knowledge and a ruthless ability to put herself first, and magic ended up being her means by which to do it. On rare occasion, she finds someone else worth protecting, too.
At his smile she offers one back of her own. "You don't look half-bad in green," she comments at her scarf around him. She turns her back then, feeling secure enough to wander around instead looking at the items on his shelves. Books, knickknacks, pictures. Her green gaze takes it all in as she replies back to him. "Wine sounds heavenly. Or is hellish the appropriate term?"
Her eyes fall then on an image of Piper. Thessaly's gaze widens, then narrows in curious thought. This has to be Sin's descendent. She hums a little as she studies the image, noting that Adonis seems quite comfortable with her. "Well, well, well. I had wondered how canny the likeness would be."

He watches her wander around the penthouse then turns and walks over to the wet bar. "Red or white," he asks as he pours himself a little whiskey before taking out a wine glass.
At her words, he turns around and spots what she's looking at - a rare picture of himself and Piper. "It's a bit insane how similar they are. I didn't notice it as much at the beginning but now it's hard not to. Their personalities aren't similar but she has a dark streak that could rival Sionnach's."

She likes Adonis. She finds him intriguing and fun, something novel with enough age to back it. Yet once she lays eyes on Piper, on a Sister, it's clear where her priorities lie.
"It's a survival streak." Thessaly murmurs her response, before giving a distracted, "White, if you have it." She studies the picture, committing it to memory before setting it back. "Power is not rooted in goodness or darkness, I think. It exists. If she has used it to do what is needed, I will not fault her." Perhaps fight her, some day. If their interests clash. Judge a fellow witch though for having capacities beyond what society deems palatable? Never.
She sets the picture back in place and glances back at Adonis. Her eyes are ancient for a moment, before turning to a simple forest green too thick to fall into an abyss. "It is good though that you worry for her. Many are not so fortunate to have one at their back."
If it's been too long, I understand!!
He picks up the glasses and walks over, handing her the glass. "There's been plenty of that after everything we've been through." She may not know everything about them and their history and he didn't expect her to but there's been a lot that they'd had to do in order to survive.
While his path might've always lead here eventually in different circumstances, Piper's likely never would have.
He spots the look in her eyes and nods. "At first it was because of my sire - Dom. But now... she's as intrinsically tied to my life. Besides, it's handy to have people in our lives that we can rely on when we live for as long as we do," he says, holding his glass up in a toast.
