Let's be honest here, no one should have fully trusted her or always liked her. But, she was part of who made me who I am. Her magic was something else.

Interesting. What realm? I'm only learning about other realms outside of the underworld.

What do you do on the days you can't just worry about her?

I may say shit like that but to be frank? I don't give a shit about my reputation... especially in hell. I know what I got myself into when I decided to take it on after a decade getting revenge on the place.

[ Slowly, he's found a few denizens who aren't minding the change in leadership. Small improvements. ]

I can honestly say I truly trust a small handful of people. Hope you're not too upset that I haven't quite decided where you fall on that list yet.

[ Adonis finds her fascinating though and she's on his radar just as much as he's on hers. When she mentions the Dreaming, he thinks of Morpheus and has to wonder if she knows him. Surely she does. Perhaps he'd reach out to Morpheus about her. ]

Ultimately, she can and has been able to handle herself exceptionally well so I focus on the things I need to focus on.

[ And if he sends her food or their mutual friend sends her food because she forgets to eat while taking over New Orleans, then that's just a small price to pay to look out for her. ]

For what it is worth, from a humble tourist, the place is less dusty.

What better revenge than their "enemy" taking over and reforming it? Not that I can and would ever hope to reform it completely - it has its charms, I suppose.

Ah, my first plan of making it less dusty has been achieved. It's a promising start.

And you? Where does your focus lie upon these days?

It has its purpose. For some, purpose is synonymous with charm.

How do you plan to build upon the promising start to arrive at a satisfying conclusion?

My focus is on me, myself, and I, my lord. I am no one's citizen, I am no one's duty. I come and go as I please, and with such freedom comes the awareness I am on my own to make the most of my time and survive by my own wit no matter the cost.

Oh yes, I'm very familiar with those who find the two synonymous. I've been friends with many.

I'm still sorting that out. Every week and month is a new challenge so I doubt it will ever be dull.

I can't fault you for that. If it works for you, then ultimately that's what matters. Living for as long as I imagine you have, you've had to adapt, I'm sure.

I could but as a vampire, that seems hypocritical to fault you for something many of mine do on a daily / century basis. You've been fun too, Thessaly.

Funny how that works, isn't it. The longer you live, the smaller that pool shrinks.

I do prefer vampires that aren't self-hating. Gets so dull. Just stake yourself already if you're that sad about it.

Tell me about it. Brooding vampires are the worst. What's the point in being unalive if you're going to mope about it.

I do have tickets. I love dance. It does not need language. I love the barriers it breaks. I have seen stories told from my time, transformed but still, without the limit of colonialism. ... less so these days.
