I can see that. It was soothing to my throat though I wasn't under the weather then.

Exactly. Or a few someones.

Yelling takes a lot out of you.

It can. Though I find yelling very cathartic sometimes I've been told I'm not supposed to, so take it for what that's worth.

Anyone who says you're not supposed to can suck it.

I've found it to be pretty cathartic as well. Not as much as fighting it out with Adonis sometimes but it's up there.

I can see that being cathartic. Getting out some physical aggression.

I don't do as much training these days, to be honest. Hand-to-hand sure, but ever since my powers took on a more necromantic bend, it just feels... I don't know. Indecent to practice. It isn't as if long-rested bones can consent, you know? Calling someone from the past back to the present feels cruel.

Though I did try and speak with Matthias. Once.

That actually makes a lot of sense and I would probably feel that same way in your place. Do you miss the way your powers were before?

Did you? Did it work?

I would have done the same… try to speak with David that is.

Nothing like a permanent change to the very foundation of your being to question things. I miss it, yes, but I'm trying to see it as anyone who misses a version of themselves they can't recover. Feels less selfish that way.

It didn't work. Matthias is the only person I can't make it worth with. I don't know what that means. Maybe it means he's in paradise now. Maybe he just doesn't want to talk to me.

[Maybe he's in trouble, but she can't voice that out loud.]

That's for fucking sure. I get it. My abilities and strength were vastly different with Jordan around and after she died... my magic felt different. I sometimes miss what it was like before but I don't take for granted what I have now and whatever may come my way in the future.

Damn. I'm really sorry to hear that. I doubt he wouldn't want to talk to you so there has to be another reason.

I think it does get easier, the moving forward. Slowly, over time. Takes awhile for the mud to clean up and the ground to feel more solid.

I certainly hope he's okay, at least. And that it's not just the saints having a laugh.

That's a good way of putting it. I like that. And it's true, it gets easier.
