Autumn Open Post
As we know, I love my AUs and PSLs! I love exploring worlds and discovering how little changes can tumble and create big changes. My characters are top-leveled but feel free to add your own and let me know if there's someone you'd like! ♥

Ah yes, he seems the type to more than enjoy a good party. Think he finished off the tequila single handedly.
no subject
Ugh, sorry about that. I left him alone for ten minutes and he shows why his mother will never let him take over for her. Not that I'm against table dancing as a rule, but not many have the style to match it. I'll bring my next date on a leash, Your Hellsteak, and tie him up properly if I need to powder my nose.
no subject
I have to agree. An excellent red wine and a rare steak is hard to beat.
Most don't have the style to match it and I'll give it to him, he tried. I'll hold you to that next time.
[ He thought he'd need to make this a yearly thing. Or... at the very least, an every five years thing. ]
no subject
I hope you do, it's been so very long since anyone has managed to hold me to anything. Since you are taking me at my word, your very good and rare Tataki, what was the name of that witch you knew? If you're willing to share. There are so few of my Sisters left these days from that time. I'll owe you one.
Tell me you're fun enough to take that dare.
no subject
If you are hanging around with the likes of your party date, I can only assume very very few have managed to hold you to anything at all.
[ He briefly considered not telling her but Sionnach had long since passed and had been reborn so was there any harm? ]
Her name was Sionnach and she was as fascinating as she was bat shit crazy.
no subject
He had the invitation to your party, it made him appealing for the time.
[Thessaly can't argue on the crazy part. It had been one of Sionnach's finest features, depending on the situation.]
That's what it means to be in the world, doesn't it? If we're honest, perish the thought. We're all a little mad for being here. Some of us just put our madness to better use than others.
She was an absolute twist of an ankle though, wasn't she?
no subject
Fair enough and admirable.
Some are just a little more mad than others and as you said, put our madness to better use. Myself included.
Somehow I'm not surprised that you knew her. But yes, that was one way of putting it. She had some bloody good parties... literally.
no subject
Perhaps you could cut out the middle man and invite me yourself next time.
Are we all mad here, then? Please, do tell me Alice about your trips down the rabbit hole. Surely you've got some to share.
She was a Sister. Make of that what you will.
no subject
Well now that I know who you are, I'm happy to.
Tell you what, next time we meet up, we can swap stories.
I get it. She was remarkably close to my Sire for several years.
no subject
You won't regret it.
She and I would do that too, you know. Every few centuries or so. Swap stories.
Yeah? Who was your Sire? Maybe I knew him, too.
no subject
That seems debatable with the company you used to keep. ;)
[ He's teasing. Those early years were some of the most fascinating of his life. Even with the few embarrassing moments thrown in there.
He wonders how she'll react knowing Sionnach had been reborn and in the body of an immortal witch. A witch who was a more "good" than Sionnach ever had nightmares of becoming. ]
Did you? I'd be happy to bring back the tradition if you're interested.
He went by Dominicus back in the day when they were together. A vampire from what is now Spain.

So I live for myself. Because nobody else is going to do it for you. But when they see you can, they'll want you to do it for them. That's where you hook them. Live for yourself, let others think you can take them along with you. Sometimes, you even can.
For a short while.
Then they can't hold their booze at a king of Hell's party and you gotta drop them. ;)
[Like Adonis hadn't meant Sid. Thess has honestly no idea who the reincarnated soul is. Both because she hasn't looked, and because it's magic that's dangerous to dance around, and she's out for herself. Still, she would be curious if she ever found out. She's too practical to want to touch another Chosen One with a ten foot pole though without knowing she won't get dumped into the fryer, too. Been there. Killed that. Been on the run ever since.]
That would be nice. You know I'm not nice, though. So you must have some sense of intrigue about you to want to keep meeting. I do, too. Let's make it a date, Lord of Hell.
Well, shit.
[OOC: Totally up to you on if Thess knew David or not. I figured her reaction might be the same either way, LOL. But I can roll with either!]
let's definitely have her have known David. I'm sure Sionnach would have introduced them!
Anyone who was invited as a guest or as a date to a guest of that party I had, I suspect isn't very "nice". Which is good. Nice is boring.
Great. Then it's a deal.
Ah, met him, did you? Ah, he had been fun back then.
[ Not that David hadn't been fun after Sionnach but just less... destruction and chaos. So did he, to be fair until he was killed. ]
Sounds good!
It is, isn't it? Although I get called boring quite often. Judging by your bookshelves though, I suspect a life of study doesn't bore you, either.
I did, he was a trip. They were pretty wild together. What about you, my lord? Have ever met your match?
no subject
We may not know each other well but I find it hard that anyone would call you boring. Or do they say it to try and piss you off?
I did at one point, but she was killed around the same time as Dom in recent years.
no subject
It's been a long time since anyone was foolish enough to try and piss me off, so I suspect it's more that most people don't really appreciate devouring libraries as much as I do. There are some of us out there, but many more who don't bother.
Sorry you have to live with that loss.
no subject
I can only imagine how dumb they would have to be to try and piss you off.
Do you have a favorite library?
I appreciate that. It's been easier for me than it has been for my friend but there are days.
no subject
You're smart, then. Although I'm underestimated less these days. That is something Sionnach and I shared. I knew her when others still dared to presume about us. I didn't always like her. I never trusted her. I understood her, though.
I do. It's not in this realm, however. [The library at the Dreaming will always be her favorite, even if that bridge is burned. She's evaded Morpheus through magic ever since.]
Do you think it's been easier because you've had her roughness with it to focus on instead of your own?
... sorry. Time has taught me to trim manners more than it should.
no subject
[ Though, lets be honest - considering their history, the entire Underworld knew he'd go to battle for Piper. ]
Let's be honest here, no one should have fully trusted her or always liked her. But, she was part of who made me who I am. Her magic was something else.
Interesting. What realm? I'm only learning about other realms outside of the underworld.
[ He considers her question for a long minute before responding. ]
I'm not entirely sure. Maybe.
Time does that, I've found. No apologies needed.
no subject
With a dinner a century. On your dime.
[Thessaly is a cold-hearted, pragmatic witch who few like and even more want dead. A vampire a few centuries old is nothing to her. Or at least, it should be nothing. Adonis is on her radar now, though. For better or worse. He's piqued her interest. Her past. A vampire makes her almost remember a tendril of what it means to be human, with his sentiment and his duties. She won't forgive him for that. She won't forget him for that.
He's piqued her interest.]
You shouldn't trust me either, my lord. That is more warning than I give most.
It is called the Dreaming. It has every book in the galaxy imagined, let alone published.
What do you do on the days you can't just worry about her?
no subject
[ Slowly, he's found a few denizens who aren't minding the change in leadership. Small improvements. ]
I can honestly say I truly trust a small handful of people. Hope you're not too upset that I haven't quite decided where you fall on that list yet.
[ Adonis finds her fascinating though and she's on his radar just as much as he's on hers. When she mentions the Dreaming, he thinks of Morpheus and has to wonder if she knows him. Surely she does. Perhaps he'd reach out to Morpheus about her. ]
Ultimately, she can and has been able to handle herself exceptionally well so I focus on the things I need to focus on.
[ And if he sends her food or their mutual friend sends her food because she forgets to eat while taking over New Orleans, then that's just a small price to pay to look out for her. ]

For what it is worth, from a humble tourist, the place is less dusty.
You shouldn't trust me. I rather like having you around. You'd last far shorter if you did. And where would the fun lie in that?
And where does your focus lie upon?
no subject
Ah, my first plan of making it less dusty has been achieved. It's a promising start.
Glad we agree.
Paving my way and focusing on the hellish landscape that is the Underworld.
And you? Where does your focus lie upon these days?
no subject
How do you plan to build upon the promising start to arrive at a satisfying conclusion?
My focus is on me, myself, and I, my lord. I am no one's citizen, I am no one's duty. I come and go as I please, and with such freedom comes the awareness I am on my own to make the most of my time and survive by my own wit no matter the cost.
no subject
I'm still sorting that out. Every week and month is a new challenge so I doubt it will ever be dull.
I can't fault you for that. If it works for you, then ultimately that's what matters. Living for as long as I imagine you have, you've had to adapt, I'm sure.
