It's certainly not that. Let's simply say the house wouldn't let you nick any art. Though, she will find you trying to amusing.

And the last I knew, you may not be the biggest fan of sentient houses.

You think Piper is strong now, you wouldn’t believe the sheer amount of power that came off with Jordan and Piper together.

It started off as a normal house but as soon as we stayed for any length of time, it started to change. It’s not dark by any means but it is stubborn.

She would love to know you I’m sure, like Piper. But I sincerely doubt you’d like her which is fair enough considering your history with that house.

Yeah. I'm sure your sentient house is the exception to the rule because of where the magic came from but...

I mean seriously?

Same thing. Magic imbibes a house and then you've got your world turned upside down and you're suddenly picking up on things you couldn't before and seeing ghosts.
I guess if you start out supernatural its different, and you're not purely vile evil like the bitches at Rose Red but yeah.

Hence why I retracted my offer about coming to the house, Eames.

Not sure if the house would work in that same way or not but it is not my intention to dump that on anyone.

[ There had been a few people who were 'normal' who'd come to the house over the years and nothing strange had happened. So it wasn't at all like Rose Red but he understood nonetheless. ]

I guess I try and imagine there's just the one but it makes you think, you know?
How many are out there? And how many are like yours, and how many are like that one?

After everything the two of you have been through, it's no wonder.

I don't know exactly how that house was, obviously but after reading into it, I can assume. My conclusion is, there are likely more houses like mine than there are of that house.

The best we can tell it came from a lot of magic and hoodoo. They imbibed the house with it, filled it with their magic from Sukeena's roots and then when they died, they used that to keep themselves strong and the house obedient.

Then we went to the Overlook. Spook central for conduit buildings, as you saw for yourself.

And when you add the blood of all the other victims, yeah that sounds about right.

The Overlook was... something.

Those kinds of buildings and places do end up cracking open any opportunity for supernatural experiences.

[ Not to mention having Mal as a friend who was a rather powerful witch herself. Though, he wouldn't bring her up just yet. Maybe later when Eames came by if they weren't too distracted. ]

I hope you won't change your mind about coming by. My place is not like that.
