She'd never planned on meeting someone like Hodr. Especially not after everything she's been through and continues to go through. What started off as a misfired text about blood on his floor turned into bonding over their strenuous family ties, their polar opposite abilities, and nice whiskeys - in no certain order! It was nice. More than nice, really. It was something she hadn't let herself have since losing David those years ago.

Travel had always been important to her. After graduation, they traveled throughout Europe extensively. After David and Jordan's deaths, she'd gone through Asia but only briefly but hadn't stepped foot in Japan. It had always been a place she wanted to visit though and take in.

She was excited to explore someplace with Hodr that she'd never been to and that he hadn't been to in a number of years. For her, it meant that it wouldn't be shadowed by memories of the past and that was important because as much as she loved those memories (and still loved them), she can form new ones.

After getting settled into their hotel room, Piper turns to look at Hodr with a smile. She will at some point crash but she had slept some on the plane which helped. "So where should we start? Food? Drinks? Shopping?"

Life was different.

She'd died, for one.

And although Piper had assured her that she'd manage to find someway to bring her back, she never truly expected it. But leave it to her cousin to be unwavering stubborn and dedicated like that.

But everything was different. She hasn't gotten the full story from Piper yet about what she and Ben - no, Adonis - had gotten up to while she and David were dead but she knew it was a lot. He had effectively taken on the Underworld from what she was told. And Piper was... different, a little rougher around the edges. Her relationship (or lack thereof) with Adonis was different.

It was all fucking different.

Even the dating scene was a little different. Online dating? Wasn't that something they were warned about at one point in time? But no, it was the way to do it now, apparently. Which is how one night she ended up in that dating app and swiped right on Fen.

It wasn't like she was really looking for anything serious. She was told she needed time to sort out everything since being dead. But still, a girl (even a recently dead girl) needed to have a good time.

Since returning, she'd spent as much time by the water as she could. It was her 'happy place'. Perhaps it was because water was one of her strongest abilities and so she naturally was attracted to the beach but it didn't really matter where, it was simply being around water. When he suggested the challenge of getting him to enjoy the beach, she readily took it. She was never one to turn down a challenge after all.

She chose her favorite one, sent him the location and made sure to tell Piper where she was going incase he turned out to be someone he wasn't. After all you couldn't be too careful!

Jordan arrives early in the afternoon on the day they agreed on and takes out a cooler with drinks and a few snacks, towels and a couple of chairs to at least get started with. She'd worn one of her new favorite bikinis and sends a picture of herself to Fen's number.

You know, I joke about my memoir but I used to write. Maybe one day I will write your biography and I can make it as audacious as you could ever imagine. Or very serious, I guess.

But you're right, most biographies are only looking at things from the outside in, you're not seeing the entire picture. And I suppose if they're still alive, that's for the best.

You did do all of that but you found your way back and I think, ultimately, your parents would be more proud of that then ashamed.

[ He, his sire and Klaus hadn't always been the most friendly of vampires/hybrids but ultimately, at the end, he knew how much Klaus had changed and had the feeling that Hope finding her way back was more important than anything else. ]

His name was Ken. I didn't know my disappointment with the names of Gods and other immortals could get any lower but I stand corrected. I will hope that he doesn't have a Barbie waiting for him back home. Although, that would be on very perky Goddess.
