I'm sure there is more we can do when I've practiced a bit more but it works better and that's what matters.

[Seeing Jesper own himself, and own his abilities in such a way as to offer them back takes Kaz by surprise. His initial instinct is to insist he needs nothing, but this Jesper? It's a good look. It suits him. And he's a talented Durast. Only a fool would refuse.

Kaz is smiling a little as he replies.]

[ Sorry, Kaz. Jesper thinks their next not-play date should be visiting goats. ]

[ It was nice to be able to relate to Kaz on this level. On the level where Jesper doesn't feel like he's the epic screwup who gambles away everything he both has and doesn't have. Being able to actually do something and be okay with who he was felt really good. ]

It's good to have high standards for yourself and those around you. Complacency puts everyone at risk.

Goats are fine. I would just take an empty house for a few hours over them.

You might be spending too much time with Ravkan ruffian royalty these days.

I merely informed her that the plants in our rooftop garden might be wilting due to her caterwauling at them, and was she that desperate for a cat companion she was trying to mimic their sound. It's hardly my fault that her off key warbling is heard through my window.

Yeah, that would do it. You'll be lucky if she only tosses it on the ground before serving it to you.

Though that would be a waste.

[OOC: I started a new data fellowship this week, hence the extreme slowness. It's fun with numbers so I can't complain, but my free time, I don't know her, sob. Hope your week is going okay!]

I have work engagements, Jesper. They all end up in some way on an expense report.

I'd say you could take two cookies and give me one, but that might bring you under cross-examination.

Why yes, having fun and being selfish does keep me alive and helps me feel alive.

[ He knows the fun part wasn't what Kaz meant but he plays it off like he always does. He's glad that Kaz is proud though, in his own way. ]
