Well, saints are not perfect - they're not God, after all. And I do take loads of credit for my wins. That and my pistols. They haven't let me down yet.

[Kaz had meant attending a party while he was on a job and receiving payment after for that, but he's not in the least surprised how Jesper took it. Although Jesper's not entirely right that Kaz is above enjoying seeing pretty people dancing or showing flesh - provided they're doing it willingly by choice and paid for it. He'd never go out of his way to enjoy it, he doesn't go out of his way to enjoy much of anything, but growing up and hearing other boys talk about such things, he's always wanted it, too. It's just his touch aversion that's kept him from being able to do so.

[Seeing Jesper own himself, and own his abilities in such a way as to offer them back takes Kaz by surprise. His initial instinct is to insist he needs nothing, but this Jesper? It's a good look. It suits him. And he's a talented Durast. Only a fool would refuse.

[ It was nice to be able to relate to Kaz on this level. On the level where Jesper doesn't feel like he's the epic screwup who gambles away everything he both has and doesn't have. Being able to actually do something and be okay with who he was felt really good. ]
