Hm, probably. I think it also has something to do with your 'what you see is what you get' personality. Unless, of course, you're on a job and you have to be someone else.

What you see is what you get unless I’m making something disappear to annoy you. I find that also a valid use of my time and a vital component of my personality.

[Most times Kaz Brekker acts like the old man he is and sometimes he makes it very obvious why he’s best friends with Jesper.

I do return what I take. Usually.

I'd say you'll pick up the wrong bottle next time but I'm guessing that's happened before in Wylan's lab.

I like the addition of 'usually' to that statement.

It has not. I’ve never picked up a wrong bottle.

[Because Wylan realized that the most terrifying man in the Barrel who had kept him alive for months by sheer terrifying reputation turned into a four year old around chemicals he never had the chance to explore, and needed such guidance.]

I always cover my bases. When you really want it back you send me unpleasant warnings, anyway.

That is something I respect about you. One of many. That you cover all your bases. Not everyone does.

I have found that it gets the point across very well.

Ensuring my whiskey flask always stays full? Spell so I never have to sleep? Soundproofing Jesper and Wylan’s door?

The soundproofing I can absolutely do next time I'm there.

I've never been able to keep my flask full no matter how hard I've tried and unfortunately, sleep is not something I can control. Though, I have also tried that too. Multiple times.

You know I hate being bored and rather have many projects instead of one. Besides, I already have something handy for the soundproofing.

Living in an apartment, it's handy when I don't have to hear my neighbors or traffic outside all the time.

Oddly, Ketterdam's street traffic from outside my window doesn't bother me. I only really notice it when I'm traveling and it's missing. Otherwise, it's just part of my background noise.

Fair, some people use fans for white noise and others use street traffic. Makes sense.

Living close to the Quarter, there are nights when I don't want to hear everything going on for all hours of the night.

I live in the Barrel, I more than get it. Although some of that illicit talk and loud fire can lead to quite intriguing leads.

Isn't that the truth. In fact, just the other night I heard a couple of interesting rumors that I plan to look into.
